Lynda Phelan's main interest is the connection between man's spirit and the rest of creation. The spiritual aspect of man has always been and must now not be forgotten for the materiality of the human world today. The answers still remain out there in the stars from which we were formed, we could look to there and know we will never reach because physicality limits us and choose to know nothing or choose to see that the universe constantly creates and in doing so, created self-reflective conscious beings who could question, discover and create themselves. This act of creation enables us to connect to the great mysteries of our world, and subjectively we need to delve deep within and search there. I use paint, I draw, I express, I manifest thoughts, ideas, queries through intuition and direct intention, I abstract, I play with control and freedom-directly through the process of painting and through the thought process, I explore line, form, shapes, symbols and colour to understand better the reason existence is fuelled by creation.
